Payroll Manager
- 3 months view to perm
- Interviews 24th Dec or 2 Jan onwards
- Commence no later than Jan 19 2026 (ideally before)
- Narre Warren – 1 day in office, 4 from home
Urgent requirement for a Payroll Manager to lead a team of 6-7 (permanent, contract and part time) in Narre Warren. This role will see you overseeing the payroll for 1800 employees fortnightly, and driving a Time and Attendance uplift (Time2Work).
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in payroll management, especially in high-volume environments (1800+ employees)
- Extensive experience with iChris or Chris21 payroll systems (Pay21)
- Strong understanding of payroll governance, award interpretation, and EBA compliance
- Expertise in payroll reconciliations, ATO compliance (STP), and EOFY processing
- Solid understanding of salary packaging, novated leases, and payroll contribution management
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead a team through complex payroll matters
- Experience with payroll system testing and upgrades
- Knowledge of payroll legislation and the ability to handle complex payroll scenarios
- Leadership of a small team 5-7
