Patient Administration Team Leader
Are you an experienced people leader with a passion for operational excellence and outstanding customer service? We’re seeking a Patient Access Team Leader to oversee a busy patient administration function within a leading healthcare organisation.
Reporting to senior leadership, you will lead the Patient Access team and oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy administration function. You’ll be responsible for ensuring patients receive an exceptional experience while driving operational performance, continuous improvement, and effective stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing patient administration team
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, rostering, performance, coaching and staff development
- Oversee appointment scheduling, patient waitlists and recall processes to maximise service delivery
- Manage patient enquiries, complaints and escalations with professionalism and care
- Monitor operational and financial performance, including reporting, budgets and key performance indicators
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience leading administration or patient services teams within healthcare
- Strong people leadership and coaching skills
- Experience managing patient appointments, waitlists and customer service functions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience analysing performance metrics and implementing service improvements
- Financial administration or budget management experience will be highly regarded
