Are you an experienced people leader with a passion for operational excellence and outstanding customer service? We’re seeking a Patient Access Team Leader to oversee a busy patient administration function within a leading healthcare organisation.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will lead the Patient Access team and oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy administration function. You’ll be responsible for ensuring patients receive an exceptional experience while driving operational performance, continuous improvement, and effective stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing patient administration team
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, rostering, performance, coaching and staff development
  • Oversee appointment scheduling, patient waitlists and recall processes to maximise service delivery
  • Manage patient enquiries, complaints and escalations with professionalism and care
  • Monitor operational and financial performance, including reporting, budgets and key performance indicators

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience leading administration or patient services teams within healthcare
  • Strong people leadership and coaching skills
  • Experience managing patient appointments, waitlists and customer service functions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience analysing performance metrics and implementing service improvements
  • Financial administration or budget management experience will be highly regarded
