Paralegal / Legal Clerk
Talent International is currently recruiting a Paralegal / Legal Clerk to work for the NSW Government, based in Haymarket. The position is a 3-month contract role with the possibility of extension. The role pays $45/ hr + Super.
Hours of Work: 7 hours p/d, 35 hours p/w
Start Date – 23/02/2026 – Flexible
An exciting opportunity has become available in our legal team for the client. In this litigation-focused role, you will be working in an interesting and fast-paced regulatory environment with competing priorities.
You will provide high-quality paralegal, clerical services, and administrative support to a team of solicitors whose role is to provide a range of specialised litigation and advice services for the client, with a focus on prosecutions for breaches under work health and safety legislation.
This role will allow you to further develop your skills and knowledge while supporting the delivery of legal services to the client. You will have exposure to a wide variety of legal matters and be given the opportunity to grow and develop in a supportive and collaborative, close-knit team.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Experience as a paralegal supporting a legal litigation team
- Experience in drafting court documents, correspondence and advice; undertaking legal research into legislation and case law; liaising with witnesses; and knowledge of court and tribunal administration, practice and procedure.
- Good organisational, planning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Technically savvy with the ability to use various systems, databases, and software applications
- Proven ability in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
