Package Engineers – Perth Airport – Contract

Our client is a leading company in the mining industry, dedicated to innovation and sustainability. In support of their strong focus on green energy and carbon neutrality targets, one of the key initiatives involves Heavy Industry projects aimed at developing and testing a range of technologies to power mining fleets and rail locomotives. Reporting to the Heavy Industry Integration Principal Engineer, we are presently seeking experienced Package Engineers for general industry and Rail projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure engineering tasks align with project/program goals.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays.
  • Provide day-to-day management of engineering work, ensuring alignment and support for team members.
  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure projects/deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment within the engineering department.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to engineering teams.
  • Assist in problem-solving and troubleshooting technical challenges.
  • Develop and implement streamlined engineering processes to improve efficiency.
  • Identify and address bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
  • Continuously assess and improve engineering operations to meet quality and performance standards.
  • Assist in resource planning and allocation to support project requirements.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors for timely delivery of materials and services.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in engineering operations or project management roles.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Strong interdisciplinary technical understanding.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
