Operations Infrastructure Engineer
Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Infrastructure Engineer to provide leadership and coordination across road, drainage, and infrastructure maintenance services. This role plays a key part in ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard that enhances community amenity and supports sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the delivery of road, drainage, and infrastructure maintenance services to meet community and stakeholder expectations
- Provide technical, engineering, and strategic advice to support operational projects and service delivery
- Manage budgets, contracts, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope
- Champion a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with OHS and risk management requirements
- Drive continuous improvement in planning, processes, and service delivery
- Engage with contractors, stakeholders, and the community to ensure transparency and quality outcomes
- Support, mentor, and develop staff to foster a high-performing and engaged workforce
Key Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
- Demonstrated experience in delivering road infrastructure and drainage maintenance projects
- Proven ability to manage budgets, contracts, and service delivery in an operational environment
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and codes (e.g. Road Management Act, OHS Act)
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and report-writing skills
- Experience in the public sector or local government desirable
