Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Infrastructure Engineer to provide leadership and coordination across road, drainage, and infrastructure maintenance services. This role plays a key part in ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard that enhances community amenity and supports sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the delivery of road, drainage, and infrastructure maintenance services to meet community and stakeholder expectations
  • Provide technical, engineering, and strategic advice to support operational projects and service delivery
  • Manage budgets, contracts, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope
  • Champion a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with OHS and risk management requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning, processes, and service delivery
  • Engage with contractors, stakeholders, and the community to ensure transparency and quality outcomes
  • Support, mentor, and develop staff to foster a high-performing and engaged workforce

Key Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering road infrastructure and drainage maintenance projects
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, contracts, and service delivery in an operational environment
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and codes (e.g. Road Management Act, OHS Act)
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and report-writing skills
  • Experience in the public sector or local government desirable
