OneCouncil Application Support Specialist

Our client is a Local City Council, currently seeking to recruit a OneCouncil Application Support Specialist on a permanent basis. We are looking for someone with a strong knowledge of Compliance and the Property and Rating modules.

This role will be based out of St Kilda with 2-3 days working from home. Sitting at a salary band 8, this will offer a salary of $130,138 – $145,807 + Superannuation dependant on level of experience.

Skills and Knowledge required:

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written and the highly developed skills in applying discipline in the search for solutions to new problems and opportunities in existing applications.
• Strong technical and business knowledge of Compliance, Property and Rating modules within OneCouncil is mandatory, Core Modules a bonus, and underlying processes, including BPAs, DOC1s, ETLs, TScripts required.
• Strong knowledge of reporting modules, IT Service Management, enterprise council applications and mobile applications beneficial.
• Developed skills in application management, analytical and investigative skills to enable the formulation of solution options from within a broad Council-wide ICT architecture and framework.
• Developed ability to implement Application management plans, policies and practices
• Developed ability in developing automated business systems in both compliance and customer, including but not limited to Building & Planning, Safety & Amenity, Permit Processes, Customer Requests.
• Working knowledge of system design, development, implementation, and user support principles and practices.

About you:

• Full Australian working rights.
• Understanding of solution and enterprise architecture with extensive and diverse experience in how to apply this to solution design to ensure solutions address business needs and also integrate at a broader enterprise level.
• Degree or diploma in Computer science, information technology, software engineering or related field with relevant extensive and diverse experience at a senior level, or less formal qualifications accompanied by extensive and diverse relevant experience.
• Certifications in project management, business change management and ICT service design and transition (e.g. Lean/Agile, PMI’s PMP, CMI’s Accredited Change Manager, ITIL) are viewed favourably.
• High level of self-discipline and autonomy to manage own time, set priorities and expectations.
• Ability to work collaboratively, analytically and creatively in a problem-solving environment.
• Experience working towards solutions that enable transition from on premise to cloud service providers.
• Understanding of human centred design principles and project delivery methodologies (e.g. agile, waterfall etc) viewed favourably.
