Are you an experienced Office, Facilities or Property professional looking for a role where no two days are the same?
Talent International is partnering with a Federal Government organisation to recruit an APS6 Office Manager responsible for overseeing facilities, accommodation, property services and operational security across a busy office environment.
This is a highly autonomous position suited to someone who enjoys solving problems, managing competing priorities and working closely with internal stakeholders, contractors and service providers to ensure business operations continue to run seamlessly.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining workplace functionality, coordinating building maintenance, managing assets, supporting security initiatives and ensuring compliance with government policies and procedures.
As the Office Manager you will be responsible for:
- Managing day-to-day office accommodation and facilities operations
- Coordinating maintenance, refurbishments and building services
- Acting as the primary contact for building issues and emergency responses
- Managing assets, stocktakes and office equipment
- Providing advice on facilities, property and operational security matters
- Coordinating contractors, suppliers and building management
- Supporting WHS initiatives and workplace risk management
- Assisting with office moves, workspace planning and special events
- Delivering guidance and training on workplace procedures
- Ensuring compliance with government policies and operational requirements
We’re looking for someone who brings experience across facilities, property or office operations together with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
You will ideally possess:
- Experience managing office, facilities or property operations
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Experience coordinating contractors and external service providers
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to prioritise competing workloads in a fast-paced environment
- Experience within Government or highly regulated environments will be highly regarded
- Knowledge of WHS, asset management or security processes is advantageous
Essential Requirements
- Australian Citizenship is mandatory
- Current AGSVA Security Clearance (Baseline minimum)
- Ability to work onsite five days per week
- Availability for occasional after-hours building or emergency issues if required
