The Role: This Government Department is seeking a Network Engineer to implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure across Business as Usual & Project delivery.

The Responsibilities:

  • Supports Cisco routers, Cisco switches, Voice and Video over IP, Data Center and Cisco wireless networks
  • F5’s Local Traffic Manager (LTM) and Global Traffic Manager (GTM)
  • Monitoring network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability during migrations
  • Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS, BGP, OSPF, …etc)
  • Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
  • Manage relationships with and between program or project stakeholders

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 5 years proven experience as Network Engineer with hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.
  • Proven knowledge and experience with Cisco and F5 LTM are essential.
  • Develops and implements systems and procedures to guide work and track progress
  • Effective communication skills are essential to discuss technical components easily for external stakeholders to understand.
  • Prior experience within the Public Sector is strongly desirable.
