Network Administration - SD WAN

We are seeking an experienced Network Administration to support and maintain a large-scale, enterprise SD-WAN environment within a secure federal program. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, configuration, and operational support of SD-WAN and core network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2 support for SD-WAN environments across multiple locations
  • Troubleshoot routing, connectivity, and performance issues
  • Manage and maintain SD-WAN edge devices and controllers
  • Support incident, problem, and change management processes
  • Configure and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and VPN technologies
  • Support WAN technologies including MPLS and internet-based circuits
  • Work with carriers to resolve circuit-related issues
  • Implement and maintain firewall and security policies within SD-WAN platforms
  • Monitor network performance and ensure SLA compliance
  • Assist with software upgrades, patching, and configuration changes
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and processes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of operational procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience -Mandatory
  • Must be an Australian citizen
  • Proven experience supporting SD-WAN environments (e.g. Cisco Viptela/Meraki, VMware VeloCloud, Fortinet, Aruba, Silver Peak)
  • Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and WAN technologies
  • Experience with VPN/IPSec and firewall policy management
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in secure environments
