    Position Overview

    An opportunity exists for experienced .Net Software Engineers to contribute to the delivery of criticalICT projects within a large government environment. In this role, you will support the development and enhancement of secure, cloud-based applications that underpin regulatory and reporting systems. Working within an agile, collaborative team, you will play a key role in delivering robust, user-focused digital solutions while contributing to continuous improvement and innovation across the broader technology landscape.


    Key Duties

    • Develop and maintain Azure-based web APIs and portal applications
    • Integrate multiple system components to deliver seamless end-to-end user experiences
    • Provide technical advice on systems development and architecture
    • Apply secure coding practices to ensure robust and compliant solutions
    • Conduct peer reviews of code and infrastructure
    • Interpret and develop solutions aligned with detailed architecture documentation
    • Ensure adherence to best practice and organisational standards
    • Produce and review technical and release documentation
    • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
    • Collaborate within agile, cross-functional teams
    • Mentor team members and support knowledge sharing and capability uplift

    Skills and Experience Required

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience developing secure, web-based business solutions
    • Strong experience with .NET Framework, .NET Core and ASP.NET
    • Proven experience developing Azure-based solutions, including API Manager, Logic Apps, Service Bus and Azure SQL
    • Experience building web applications using Angular or React
    • Strong understanding of secure development practices and familiarity with the Information Security Manual (ISM)
    • Experience with automated testing tools such as xUnit, nUnit, Selenium or Playwright
    • Demonstrated experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
    • Proven ability to integrate systems, including third-party platforms such as CRM solutions
    • Experience optimising and modernising legacy systems in cloud environments
    • Strong experience working within agile delivery teams
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders
