Our Client

Our client is a unique government agency which works closely with a range of national and international partners to create connections and gather information to protect Australia from serious threats. They deliver information-sharing solutions at the state, territory and federal levels to ensure that essential information is available to all law enforcement agencies across Australia.

The Role

We are seeking experienced Business Analysts and Senior Business Analysts to support the delivery of complex, large-scale programs focused on capability uplift, business transformation, and strategic initiatives. These roles will work across multiple streams, engaging with stakeholders to understand business needs, analyse processes, and develop practical, evidence-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Analyse and redesign business processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and enable technology-driven outcomes
  • Elicit, document, and manage business requirements, data flows, and system interactions
  • Develop business artefacts including process models, data models, business cases, and capability blueprints
  • Assess feasibility of business and system changes and recommend fit-for-purpose solutions
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and support decision-making on complex issues

Skills and Experience Required

  • Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst within complex government or enterprise environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage relationships and influence outcomes (senior roles require strategic engagement at executive level)
  • Proven ability to analyse, model, and improve business processes, including the use of appropriate methodologies and tools
  • Experience in requirements elicitation, definition, prioritisation, and traceability across projects of varying complexity
  • Ability to conduct business situation analysis, identify root causes, and develop practical recommendations
  • Experience developing high-quality documentation, including business cases and process models
  • For senior roles: experience leading large-scale or strategic transformation initiatives and establishing standards or frameworks
