MTEC Engineer

Talent International, a leading Australian recruitment firm, has been engaged by our long-standing client, a leader in the manufacturing and steel production sector. We are seeking an experienced MTEC Engineer for an immediate start to support a Capital Project

Role Title: MTEC Engineer

Contract Length: 12-week contract (possibility of extension)

Location + WFH Flexibility: Port Kembla – full-time on-site

Hourly Pay: Up to $110/hour

Client Industry: Heavy Industrial / Steel Manufacturing

Start Date: ASAP

Role Details:

• Join the Capital Project delivery team focusing on the transition and readiness of new plant equipment and infrastructure.
• Support the implementation of MTEC (Manuals, Training, Equipment, Commissioning) activities aligned with operational and maintenance needs.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure readiness for commissioning and start-up.
• Contribute to the successful handover of documentation, training, systems, and risk identification aligned with business standards.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Immediate availability with ability to hit the ground running.
• Strong Excel capability for data manipulation, planning, and reporting.
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings and OEM Manuals to support Asset Strategy development.
• Operational or maintenance background in heavy industry or manufacturing.
• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
