
Mining Application Support - FIFO - Contract

- 8 days on / 6 days off / 12 hour shifts / 7 am to 7 pm
- Max rate for 12 hour day $750 a day + Super
We are seeking a skilled Application Support Analyst to support a bespoke Autonomous Mining Systems platform. Based on an 8/6 site roster, you will be the first point of contact for application support, working closely with both Product and Operations teams to ensure uptime, reliability, and performance of production-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure system uptime, manage incident response, and coordinate service restoration.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain the Fleet Management System.
- Monitor system health using alerting, logging, and monitoring tools.
- Perform Linux system administration and ensure security compliance.
- Provide L1 and L2 technical support and manage customer communications.
- Collaborate on upgrades, bug fixes, and system improvements.
About You:
- Strong experience in IT support (L1 & L2) and incident management.
- Python knowledge
- Linux experience ideally at administration level
- Bash, Linux (RedHat/Debian), and container technologies (Docker, OpenShift).
- Familiar with monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace), VM management, and SQL databases.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and automated deployment tools (Ansible preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in mining or industrial environments is highly desirable.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Due to the nature of the role candidates will only be considered if they have Python, Linux and Level 1/2 backgrounds
