Opportunity

Our client is a federal government agency. They have a great opportunity for multiple Business Analyst’s to join in a long-term contracting opportunity, with a strong project pipeline and the potential to work across multiple areas of the business.

  • 12-month initial contract with likely extensions
  • Option to be based out of the Richmond or Geelong office, with 2 days per week work-from-home
  • APS6 And EL1 contracts available
  • Daily rate of $602 + Super is on offer for the EL1 positions, and for the APS6, an hourly rate of $60.26 + Super

The roles

As an EL1 Business Analyst, you will Join a practice, and be assigned to a number of potential projects within a portfolio, which includes areas such as Salesforce implementation, accessibility and assistive technology, or service design. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Identifying and documenting current business processes to create baseline understanding of current situation and processes.
  • Creating and facilitating process design improvements by conducting business and systems process analysis.
  • Providing program/stream level analysis and producing required analysis documentation.
  • Providing expertise and supporting the Product Owner to elaborate user stories, acceptance criteria and process maps with the input from SMEs.
  • Providing assistance to Product Owner with the use of internal systems.
  • Evaluating effectiveness of proposed solutions and design.
  • Leading transition of business requirements over to build teams for development.
  • Supporting verification testing of the built solution to ensure alignment to business requirements (UAT)

As an APS6 your responsibilities will be:

  • Producing reports, interpreting data and analysing results using standard statistical techniques.
  • Coordinating divisional and branch reporting requirements to monitor and track improvement and performance outcomes.
  • Developing business functional requirements and resources, consistent with contractual, legislative and policy environments.
  • Translating business metrics to inform internal stakeholder requirements including efficiency, improvement and performance outcomes to optimise customer experience.
  • Designing and delivering workshops, communication and consultation resources that support complex systems and business information gathering and sharing.
  • Establishing and implementing governance and compliance processes, dashboards and management systems to track branch and divisional performance against plans and targets.
  • Implementing and maintaining audit and risk processes, controls and undertaking issues resolution.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of proposed solutions and design.
  • Supporting the transition of business requirements over to build teams for development.
  • Supporting verification testing of the built solution to ensure alignment to business requirements.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Solid experience as a Business Analyst within government or large corporate organisations
  • Expeirence in interpeting new operating model and business processes, journey maps into business and systems requirements working alongside Service Designers and Product Owners
  • Demonstrated experience with Jira & Confluence, Agile ways of working, user story development
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and experience, cross-functional collaboration with Product Owners, Service Designers, external Technical Development squads
  • Strong ability to analyse and document requirements, processes and systems
