Mid-Level Business Analyst - IT Operating Model Implementation

We are seeking a Mid-Level Business Analyst to support the implementation of a large-scale IT Division Operating Model transformation.

This is a hands-on role focused on translating the target operating model into clear requirements, practical processes, and embedded ways of working across the IT function. You will work closely with IT leaders, service owners, and delivery teams to help drive implementation outcomes.

This is an initial 4-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension.

Key Responsibilities

Operating Model Implementation

• Support the rollout of the IT Division Target Operating Model
• Translate high-level design into detailed business and functional requirements
• Identify impacts across people, process, governance, and technology
• Ensure alignment between strategy and operational execution

Requirements & Documentation

• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews
• Elicit and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements
• Produce documentation including:
• Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
• Functional Specifications
• User Stories & Acceptance Criteria
• Process maps and workflows
• Maintain traceability from requirements through to delivery

Process Mapping & Gap Analysis

• Map current-state (as-is) processes across IT functions
• Design future-state (to-be) processes aligned to the new operating model
• Conduct gap analysis and identify remediation actions
• Support development of SOPs, RACIs, and governance artefacts

Stakeholder Engagement

• Engage IT stakeholders including service owners and delivery teams
• Facilitate workshops and working sessions
• Support alignment across multiple stakeholder groups
• Operate effectively in a transformation environment

About You

• 2+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst within enterprise or IT environments
• Exposure to IT operating models, governance, or service delivery frameworks (desirable)
• Demonstrated experience in:
• Requirements elicitation and documentation
• Process mapping (BPMN or similar)
• Gap analysis
• Experience working within IT functions (infrastructure, applications, service management, PMO, etc.) advantageous
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in evolving environments

What’s On Offer

• $700-$750 per day (inclusive of super)
