Our government client is currently looking for a Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to lead technical build, test and deployment to operations of robust data solutions (data platforms, data pipelines).
This role is critical in managing and optimising their Microsoft Fabric environment, ensuring the integrity, performance, and scalability of their data platform.

Key responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage the Microsoft Fabric environment, including configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning.
  • Maintain data pipelines and workflows using Fabric components such as Dataflows, Pipelines and Lakehouse’s.
  • Ensure data quality, security, and governance standards are upheld across the data platform
  • Provide expert advice to support the development of strategy and policy on data reform initiatives.
  • Maintain the Bronze (raw), Silver (cleansed), and Gold (curated) data layers to update, maintain and support analytics and reporting needs

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in data engineering or analytics roles, preferably within the public sector or large enterprise environments
  • Proven experience in Microsoft Fabric
  • Expertise in Microsoft Azure tools such as: Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL,
  • Microsoft certifications in Azure or Fabric technologies (desirable).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality
