About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a leading engineering team based near Perth Airport. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with clients, solving real-world problems, and delivering impactful engineering solutions. You will take ownership of projects from conception to execution, identifying improvements and driving innovation in Materials Handeling systems across heavy industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and lead on-site troubleshooting
  • Conduct site audits and review performance of conveyor systems
  • Collaborate with internal drafting and sales teams to define project scope
  • Prepare estimates, technical documents, and specifications
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through direct engagement
  • Produce comprehensive site visit reports and actionable insights

About You
To be successful, you’ll bring:

  • A Mechanical Engineering degree or similar qualification
  • 3+ years’ experience in heavy industry, ideally with materials handling, conveyor or mining equipment
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD tools
  • Strong analytical skills, including FEA and calculations
  • Solid grasp of standards such as AS4100, AS1418, AS1170
  • Exceptional communication and proactive problem-solving mindset
