One of our Federal client is seeking two highly skilled and self-driven Technical Delivery Managers to lead multiple technical streams within GovAI, a flagship Whole of Australian Government program designed to accelerate safe and responsible adoption of AI across the APS.

About the Role

As a Technical Delivery Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end delivery across several AI-focused technology initiatives. You will work hands-on where your expertise aligns, collaborating with technical SMEs, non-technical stakeholders, vendors and senior executives to bring complex technology solutions to life.

You will help define technical direction, uplift delivery practices, and ensure high-quality, secure, and policy-aligned outcomes across multiple work streams.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Shape the technical direction of AI-related initiatives across the GovAI Program

  • Lead, manage and coordinate technical delivery across multiple parallel projects

  • Translate policies and guidelines into secure, reliable and responsible technology solutions

  • Work closely with non-technical stakeholders to clarify value propositions and requirements

  • Provide expert advice on integrating emerging technologies (AI, cloud, automation)

  • Manage risks, dependencies and delivery constraints (including privacy and ethics)

  • Prepare and oversee design documentation, configurations and operating procedures

  • Deliver solutions that meet IRAP and penetration testing requirements

  • Present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences

  • Mentor and support colleagues to uplift capability across the program

  • Engage internal and external stakeholders, influencing and negotiating at senior levels

  • Adapt delivery approaches to align with evolving technologies and organisational needs

Required Skills & Experience

To be successful, you will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience delivering Whole of Australian Government (WoAG) ICT programs

  • Strong background in complex ICT or digital transformation projects with diverse stakeholder groups

  • Understanding of government AI use cases, emerging technologies, and responsible AI policies

  • Ability to work hands-on across design, development, integration and operationalisation
