Manager Corporate Advisory & Assurance

Our client:

Talent International has partnered with a large, nationally recognised organisation operating in a highly regulated environment.

The business is strengthening its corporate risk and controls capability and is seeking two experienced risk professionals to support a significant program of controls testing while providing practical advice across its corporate functions.

The role:

These are two 12-month fixed-term Line 1 roles sitting within the Corporate Risk Advisory and Controls function.

The immediate priority is the delivery of a substantial controls testing program.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is prepared to get into the detail, perform testing and produce high-quality work papers.

You will also guide the analysts supporting your portfolio, work closely with control owners and provide practical advice on how controls should be designed, evidenced and improved. As the testing program progresses, the role will broaden into corporate risk advisory, issue management, risk assessments and risk-in-change activities.

Key responsibilities:

Lead controls testing across your allocated corporate portfolio.
Assess the design and effectiveness of key business controls and identify improvement opportunities.
Partner with stakeholders to strengthen controls, manage risk and support remediation activities.
Provide practical risk advice across business initiatives, projects and organisational change.
Guide and support analysts while maintaining high-quality work paper standards.
Prepare clear reporting and present insights to management and governance forums.

Skills and experience:

This role will suit an experienced Line 1 risk, controls, assurance or consulting professional who understands what a well-designed control looks like and is comfortable working directly with the business.

You’ll ideally have:

Experience in Line 1 Risk, Controls, Assurance or Consulting.
Strong controls testing and risk assessment experience.
The ability to provide practical advice and influence stakeholders.
Experience with control design, remediation or issue management.
Strong written communication and documentation skills.

Industry background is flexible. Candidates from consulting, financial services, gaming or other complex corporate environments are encouraged to apply. Financial Crime or Technology Risk experience is advantageous but not essential.
