About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe and Application Developer to join a Federal Government program delivering critical ICT capabilities. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of core systems that support essential government services. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to analyse business requirements, develop robust software solutions, and ensure reliable batch processing across complex environments.
Key Requirements

  • Strong experience in mainframe environments, application development, and software development
  • Proven analytical skills with hands-on experience in batch processing
  • Proficiency in technologies such as COBOL, DB2, C#, or C++
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a structured ICT delivery environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Eligibility

  • Australian Citizenship is mandatory
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance is essential
  • Must be able to work in office 3 days per week.
