Logistics Officer
LOGISTICS OFFICER // MAJOR STATE GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT // 6 MONTH CONTRACT
We are working with a MAJOR Qld State Government Department assisting with a 6-month contract seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to provide support to a significant hardware deployment project.
The logistics officer will join a driven team and play a key role in the coordination and deployment of a significant volume of assets and devices throughout the state of Qld from inner city to far reaching regional areas.
You will support the Project Manager with logistics planning activities, manage the smooth flow of deployment and coordinate technical support at the back end.
Responsibilities include:
- Contract adherence, inventory management, supplier coordination and freight dispatch activities.
- Collaborating closely with field teams and internal stakeholders, aligning logistics execution with broader organisational goals.
- Driving continuous improvement, identifying and implementing enhancements to boost logistics performance and efficiency.
Demonstrated Qualities:
- Strong blend of logistics expertise, critical thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills to ensure seamless coordination of asset movement.
- Qualifications and/or experience in procurement, warehousing or logistics
- Practical experience with reporting systems and data management tools, including strong proficiency in MS office (particularly Excel)
- Strong communication, time management and problem-solving skills
- A self-starter with a team mindset and a keen eye for detail
