
Licensing & Compliance Manager
The Role
We are seeking an Licensing & Compliance Manager to join our State Govenrment client on a fixed-term contract through until the end of June 2026. You will manage the allocation and delivery of licensing enquiries and applications, ensuring matters are appropriately resolved or referred. This position sits at VPS5.1 level and offers the opportunity to lead a small team within a regulatory licensing environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Licensing team, ensuring timely resolution of matters
- Supervise and support staff, including direct and temporary reports.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, including lawyers, on legal and regulatory enquiries
- Provide input into process improvements, reporting, and regulatory projects
- Support management with planning, stakeholder engagement, and data insights
About You
- Demonstrated leadership experience, ideally in the Public Service or a regulatory environment
- Ability to manage workloads, staff, and competing priorities in a high-volume setting
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A legal background or tertiary qualification in law will be highly regarded
