The opportunity
Our client is a government organisation in the south eastern suburbs. They have a great opportunity for a Learning and Development Specialist / Instructional Designer to join their OneCouncil implementation project.

  • Initial contract up to December holidays, potential for extensions
  • Hourly rate of up to $74 plus super
  • Narre Warren location with hybrid work from home

The role
As the Learning and Development Specialist, your key objectives will include:

  • Develop and implement effective learning programs within Council’s Transformation Program based on organisational needs, best practice and employee skill gap
  • Design and deliver learning interventions including, training sessions, videos, quick reference guides and/or eLearning content to support implementation of OneCouncil and related system, process and behavioural changes
  • Support the Change & Training team in planning, design, delivery, assessment and evaluation of learning in line with program and project outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with Casey’s Learning & Organisational Development team to embed and ensure programs and learning initiatives are successfully transitioned to the Business-As-Usual function

About you
To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Minimum five years of experience in learning and development with a proven track record in training and/or instructional design
  • Highly experienced in using Articulate and/or Camtasia/Snagit and SharePoint
  • Demonstrated experience in L&D project management or qualifications in project management is highly desirable
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to design learning programs and develop a variety of supporting content and training materials
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop quality learning materials that are suited to a variety of audiences
  • A customer centric work ethic and commercial mindset
