Our client is currently on the lookout for a Lead React Developer to take ownership of front?end development across multiple external client facing portal. This role is ideal for a senior engineer who combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership capability and a passion for building high?quality, scalable applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and optimisation of React?based applications.
  • Define front?end architecture, coding standards, and best practices.
  • Mentor and support a team of front?end developers, providing technical guidance and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless, high?performing user experiences.
  • Drive component reusability, performance improvements, and accessibility compliance.
  • Oversee integration with APIs, microservices, and backend systems.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Contribute to planning, estimation, and technical decision?making across the product lifecycle.
  • Stay current with emerging front?end technologies and recommend improvements to the tech stack.

Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience developing applications using React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Strong understanding of state management (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, or similar).
  • Experience with component libraries, design systems, and responsive UI development.
  • Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and front?end integration patterns.
  • Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress).
  • Strong understanding of performance optimisation, accessibility, and security best practices.
  • Experience leading or mentoring development teams.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and cloud?based environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
