Talent is currently seeking a Lead Dynamics 365 and Power Platform developer for a contract until end of March 2027 to join a large state government department based in Brisbane CBD.

The Lead Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform Developer will oversee and mentor technical team members within the Body Corporate and Community Management (BCCM) project, including junior developers and business technical support staff. This role involves applying hands-on development expertise to ensure the successful delivery of the approved solution design, from implementation through to handover, ongoing support, and project closure.
Responsibilities:
- Provides definitive expert design advice and development of Power Platform solutions.
- Leading the planning and being hands-on with design, development, and support of Power Apps, Power Automate flows, Dynamics 365 apps, Power Portals (Power Pages) and integrations for complex solutions whilst maintaining high quality testing assurances for bug free development.
- applies agreed standards, guidelines, patterns, and tools to the development of solutions against functional and non-functional requirements in alignment with agreed software design.
- Liaise with business and other government department teams on release scheduling and communication of application releases through Azure DevOps Pipelines, within defined ITS change controls and maintain accurate documentation of solutions and release changes.
Technical requirements:
- Demonstrated advanced level of recent industry experience in leading development of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI solutions and integration into the Dynamics 365 suite or with other Microsoft solutions, including their support, within a complex enterprise setting.
- Demonstrated experience with Dataverse data modelling, security roles, relationships).
- Knowledge and experience with REST/Web API design and consumption for integration with external web portals (e.g. myQLD.gov).
- Demonstrated experience with Azure DevOps Git Repositories and Azure Pipeline deployments Knowledge and experience in testing best practices and Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
- Knowledge and experience in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure integration services and solution design.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in project delivery processes using Agile and Lean approaches with a solid knowledge of DevOps development methodology.
