Our client is a unique government agency which works closely with a range of national and international partners to create connections and gather information to protect Australia from serious threats. They deliver information-sharing solutions at the state, territory and federal levels to ensure that essential information is available to all law enforcement agencies across Australia

The Role

Join a high-impact program delivering advanced data and analytics capabilities that support critical national outcomes. This role will see you leading the design and delivery of scalable data solutions, enabling real-time insights and advanced analytics across a complex, hybrid environment. You will play a key role in shaping data platforms that integrate diverse datasets and support both operational and intelligence-driven decision making.

Your duties will include:

  • Lead the design and delivery of robust, scalable data pipelines for analytical and operational use
  • Develop and implement data transformation and ingestion frameworks across hybrid environments
  • Build and optimise cloud-based analytics platforms using modern engineering patterns
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, SMEs, and data teams to translate requirements into solutions
  • Implement DataOps and DevOps practices including CI/CD, testing, and monitoring
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are embedded across all solutions

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

  • Proven experience designing and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines and data platforms
  • Strong background in modern cloud analytics environments such as Azure or similar
  • Experience with distributed processing technologies such as Spark for scalable solutions
  • Ability to design data frameworks supporting both operational and advanced analytics use cases
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Experience working in agile delivery environments, with exposure to graph databases or advanced analytics considered advantageous
