Join an Innovative Research & Development Team Advancing Green Iron Technology

An exciting opportunity is available for a hands-on Laboratory Professional to join a fast-paced Research & Development environment focused on developing next-generation green iron technology. Whether you are an experienced laboratory technician, operator or scientist, this role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge equipment while contributing to innovative research projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct experimental testing, analysis and measurements using custom-built testing stations and PLC-controlled rigs.
  • Operate and monitor semi-automated testing systems safely and efficiently.
  • Assemble, disassemble, inspect and clean fabricated components and mechanical parts throughout testing programs.
  • Support qualitative and quantitative analysis of samples, raw materials and products using laboratory techniques including XRD and SEM under guidance from technical specialists.
  • Prepare chemicals, reagents and materials for experimental programs.
  • Follow established laboratory procedures, operating instructions and safety protocols.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, tools and workspaces to a high standard.
  • Accurately record experimental results and maintain clear documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, health and environmental requirements.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Science, Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience in analytical, metallurgical or research laboratories is highly regarded.
  • Exposure to analytical methods and materials characterisation techniques is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to safely operate laboratory equipment and testing systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience assembling and disassembling components.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining high safety and environmental standards.
