As a Junior Release Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the release management processes for critical business systems.

Your duties will include:

  • Assisting in the execution of release management processes, including scheduling and coordinating releases across multiple applications and portfolios.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of release schedules, balancing technical dependencies and business priorities.
  • Participating in release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business Go/No-Go reviews.
  • Coordinating the production of release, deployment, and implementation plans.
  • Producing regular release reporting and representing the release program in change management activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with ICT change processes, including cyber assessments and penetration testing.

Skills and experience we are looking for:

  • 1-2 years of experience in release management processes within an enterprise business system context.
  • Working knowledge of SDLC, DevOps, CI/CD, and experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Agile methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage release-related interdependencies and adhere to governance processes.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, time management, and negotiation skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or industry-recognised project management certifications (e.g., Diploma of Project Management, SAFe Agile).
  • Experience in Federal or State Government environments (desirable).
