We are seeking an experienced Java EE System Administrator to provide operational and project support for critical production and non-production systems. This role is hands-on and technical, working across enterprise middleware platforms and Linux environments to ensure stability, performance, and service reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support enterprise Java EE application servers, including WebSphere Application Server, WebLogic Application Server, and MuleSoft.

  • Perform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and ongoing control of J2EE application servers and Linux operating systems (SUSE Linux, Red Hat).

  • Provide operational and project support across development, testing, and production environments.

  • Support the release and deployment of Java EE applications through the full SDLC.

  • Administer and support MuleSoft API platforms, ensuring reliability and performance.

  • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity, and proactively identify and resolve issues.

  • Ensure systems are managed to agreed service levels, with a strong focus on data integrity and stability.

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure the correct application of operational procedures.

  • Communicate effectively with specialists, developers, users, and management stakeholders.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and undertake other duties as required.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience administering Java EE / J2EE application server environments.

  • Strong hands-on experience with:

    • WebSphere Application Server

    • WebLogic Application Server

    • MuleSoft (runtime and API administration)

  • Solid Linux administration experience (SUSE Linux, Red Hat).

  • Experience supporting application releases and deployments across multiple environments.

  • Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and operational support skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in both project-based and BAU operational environments.

  • Experience across public and private sector environments is highly desirable.
