Talent International is searching for an experienced ITSM Manager to join our Queensland Government client based in Brisbane CBD on a 12 Month Contract, with strong extension potential.

The role:
You will provide subject matter expertise in IT Service Management (ITSM) within the Department’s Enterprise Technology Solutions team. This role will focus on continual improvement, service excellence, and building capability across the organisation. You’ll lead initiatives to improve ITSM reporting, reduce service disruptions, enhance stakeholder communication, and guide the improvement of change management processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver subject matter expertise across ITSM practices, co-developing technical support documentation.
  • Facilitate and deliver regular and ad-hoc ITSM reporting, dashboards, and performance insights.
  • Coordinate incident response escalations and manage cross-team collaboration.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Post-Incident, and Post-Implementation reviews to identify improvements.
  • Drive behavioural and process improvements in ITSM to enhance service reliability and customer experience.
  • Provide mentoring and skills transfer within the Service Excellence team.
  • Implement industry-recognised ITSM standards and improve operational efficiency.
  • Support ICT Change Management activities, reviewing and scheduling changes for CAB consideration.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an IT Service Management environment.
  • Proven track record in establishing and enhancing ITSM capabilities.
  • Relevant ITSM or quality standards certifications (e.g., ITIL, ISO 20000, PRINCE2).
  • Experience working within government environments and familiarity with government processes.
  • PRINCE2 certification or equivalent project management experience highly regarded.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical problem-solving and process optimisation experience.
