Our Client

Our Federal Government client is Australia’s principle revenue collection agency, primarily responsible for administering the federal taxation system and superannuation legislation, as well as managing and delivering a range of Australian government payment and loan schemes.

About the role

This is a senior Solution Design opportunity within a strategic architecture function, focused on shaping fit-for-purpose, secure and scalable technology solutions. You’ll play a key role in designing future-ready architectures, guiding delivery teams, and influencing technical direction across enterprise platforms in a highly complex environment.

Your duties will include:

  • Leading end-to-end IT solution discovery and design activities
  • Developing solution designs aligned to enterprise architecture, integration patterns, and IT standards
  • Engaging with senior stakeholders to communicate complex technical concepts and recommendations
  • Providing design assurance to ensure implementations align with approved designs and best practice
  • Anticipating future technology challenges and embedding industry trends into solution design
  • Supporting delivery teams and uplifting solution design capability across the organisation

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

  • Advanced experience in IT Solution Design and/or Systems Analysis
  • Proven capability designing scalable, secure enterprise solutions
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including senior executives and delivery teams
  • Experience working within large, complex government or enterprise environments
  • In-depth understanding of compliance, security, and platform optimisation
  • Hands-on experience across Digital Services, Data, AI and/or Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
