Salesforce Security Architect | Salesforce Security Architecture & Assurance

• Location: ACT-Based (ONLY)
• Security Clearance: NV1-Cleared (Mandatory)
• Contract Length: | 12 Months + 2 x 12 Month Extensions (Based on the Department’s sole discretion)

About the Position

This isn’t a traditional Salesforce Architect role.

The focus is on ensuring Salesforce solutions are secure, compliant and aligned with enterprise architecture from design through to delivery and ongoing sustainment.

Working within a complex government environment, you’ll lead the security architecture for Salesforce platforms, partnering closely with solution leads, enterprise architects, cyber security teams and delivery stakeholders to embed secure-by-design principles into every stage of the lifecycle.

You’ll balance architecture, governance and practical delivery, ensuring security controls, compliance obligations and platform capabilities work together to support long-term operational outcomes.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design and implementation of Salesforce security architecture across project delivery and platform sustainment.
• Embed secure-by-design principles into solution architecture, DevOps practices and release activities.
• Provide security assurance, risk management and governance advice across Salesforce initiatives.
• Collaborate with architects, delivery teams and security stakeholders to ensure solutions remain secure, compliant and aligned to enterprise standards.

What We Are Looking For:

• Proven Salesforce Architecture experience with a strong focus on security within complex enterprise or government environments.
• Deep understanding of Salesforce security capabilities, including Shield, identity and access management, data protection and security governance.
• Experience interpreting security policies, managing risk and supporting architecture assurance activities.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• DevOps, Azure DevOps and Splunk (desirable)

A Quick Note Before You Apply

This role is unlikely to suit Salesforce professionals whose experience has been primarily focused on configuration, administration or functional solution delivery without broader security architecture responsibilities.

Success in this role requires balancing architecture, governance, security assurance and practical delivery across a highly regulated environment.

Applicants must be Australian Citizens, hold a minimum NV1 Security Clearance and be available to work onsite in Canberra five days per week.
