About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Advisor to join our Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) Service. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team that drives the delivery of modern ICT capability, supporting essential technology services through smart procurement and contract management.

As a Procurement Advisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring procurement processes are efficient, compliant, and deliver value-for-money outcomes. You’ll be working closely with leaders and teams across IS&T to provide expert guidance, manage end-to-end procurement activities, and contribute to continuous improvement of procurement practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and support on procurement policies, procedures, and best practice.

  • Prepare, review, and manage procurement documentation, including acquisition plans, evaluation plans, negotiation strategies, and purchase recommendations.

  • Lead the establishment of low- to medium-risk contracts that meet customer requirements and deliver strong outcomes.

  • Manage procurement projects, including development, coordination, and implementation of technology arrangements under Whole-of-Government, departmental, and agency-specific contracts.

  • Ensure compliance with commercial, financial, and legal frameworks.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance procurement outcomes, improve efficiency, and maximise value-for-money.

  • Support the development and implementation of new procurement processes and systems.

  • Contribute to a positive culture of innovation, adaptability, and change.

About You

You’re an experienced procurement professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. You combine strong technical knowledge of procurement frameworks with the ability to build trusted relationships and deliver practical solutions. You’re proactive, detail-oriented, and confident in navigating complex requirements while keeping outcomes in focus.
