
Internal Communications Consultant
Opportunity
Urgent contract opportunity for experienced mid-to-senior level Internal Communications Consultant to join a growing tech business in Melbourne’s CBD. This is a 3-month initial term with potential for on-going extension and beyond. We are seeking a safe pair of hands to hit the ground running and work alongside the Manager to deliver both BAU and critical-path projects. The team manages learning, leadership development, internal communications, and brand.
This is an urgent position to commence the week of 23rd June. Candidates seeking full-time or 0.8FTE 4 days per week will be considered.
Role
You’ll be working with the Manager and Internal Communications Specialist to:
- Manage BAU and project-based communications
- Create, review, and edit communications and editorial
- Draft and create weekly CEO Communications
- Engage with senior and Executive level stakeholders in an advisory capacity
- Assist with events and upcoming 2025/26 strategy launch
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in an Internal Communications role within a mid to large sized organization (1000 + staff)
- Ability to commence Monday 23 June for initial 3-month contract
- Experience working with the Executive and CxO and GM level stakeholders as a trusted advisor
- Ensure timely and consistent messaging within brand guidelines
- Strong Sharepoint and workplace tools (Confluence, MS Teams, Slack)
- Continuous improvement and innovation lens – AI and Automation experience highly regarded
- Bachelor’s degree or certifications in journalism, creative writing, copywriting and editing
