About the Role
We are seeking a security-cleared Infrastructure Systems Administrator to support a highly secure, mission-critical technology environment. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the stability, security, and performance of complex infrastructure systems.
You will work across Windows and Linux platforms, virtualisation technologies, and network environments, ensuring systems meet stringent cybersecurity and operational standards. This position is well-suited to an experienced administrator who thrives in technically complex environments and enjoys collaborating within high-performing teams.
Due to the nature of the end client, an active NV2 security clearance is mandatory for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of enterprise systems
- Administer and maintain Windows Server and Linux (RHEL) environments
- Manage core infrastructure services including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
- Configure, support, and optimise virtualisation platforms (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware)
- Manage backup and recovery solutions, including testing and disaster recovery planning
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls
- Support LAN, WAN, and VPN environments with a strong focus on availability and security
- Automate administrative processes using scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)
- Provide Level 2/3 support, troubleshoot incidents, and document resolutions
- Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders on issues, changes, and ongoing support
About You
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in systems administration within medium to large environments
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT and/or industry certifications
- Strong experience with Windows Server and/or Linux systems
- Hands-on experience with virtualisation and backup technologies
- Solid knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
