Infrastructure Specialist - Networks

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Specialist – Networks to support the design, implementation, and operation of modern enterprise and cloud-based infrastructure environments. This role will suit a hands-on specialist with strong Cisco networking, AWS, and identity management experience, who can also contribute to standards, documentation, and operational handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement infrastructure solutions across Cisco networking, edge networking, AWS environments, and data backup/storage, contributing to low-level designs and technical standards.
• Implement, configure, and maintain Cisco network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and security components.
• Apply best practices for network monitoring, troubleshooting, optimisation, and performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain data backup and storage solutions, ensuring data integrity, availability, compliance, and effective disaster recovery.
• Build, configure, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and security services.
• Manage User Access and Identity across on-premises and cloud environments, including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, SSO, SCIM, MFA, and related IAM technologies.
• Work with a range of monitoring and observability tools, including native cloud provider tools and platforms such as New Relic.
• Define and produce operations, support, and handover documentation throughout the project delivery lifecycle.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in enterprise network and infrastructure engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco networking technologies.
• Solid experience designing and operating AWS environments.
• Background in backup, storage, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Strong IAM knowledge across hybrid environments.
• Experience working in project-based delivery with clear documentation and handover standards.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively with project and operations teams.
