Infrastructure Solution Architect
Join this dynamic, fast paced University as an Infrastructure Solution Architect and be a key part of the Architecture & Software Engineering group, responsible for the development of end-to-end Solutions from conceptual through to detailed designs.
Your brand-new role will see you work closely with the Enterprise Architects and other key members across the University to develop, maintain a range of architecture artefacts, including Logical and Physical Solution Designs, Patterns, Standards, Detailed Designs, and also providing inputs to roadmaps and technology/platform strategies.
Key activities/projects include:
- Design and implement enterprise-grade backup and recovery solutions for SharePoint, OneDrive, MS Teams and associated 365 products (Cohesity).
- Architect secure print management solutions integrated with identity and access management systems.
- Define and deliver a comprehensive observability framework, leveraging modern monitoring tools to improve system reliability and performance.
- Modernise and secure video surveillance infrastructure to meet future operational and compliance needs (CCTV Server Upgrade).
- Lead the enterprise-wide OS upgrade program, ensuring compatibility, performance, and minimal disruption to business operations (2026 Operating System Upgrade)
Skills and experience
- Minimum 10+ years success in working in within similar roles within large, complex environments.
- Experience delivering solutions in two or more of the above-mentioned projects.
- Comfortable, experienced, and accomplished at working with senior executives.
- Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms and processing environments.
- Good understanding of strategic and new and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models.
- Ability to work at varying levels of detail, from high level component/logical architecture to low level detail design.
