Infrastructure Automation Engineer - SQL / PostgreSQL
A leading Financial Services provider is seeking an Infrastructure Automation Engineer with strong Ansible and/or Terraform experience combined with knowledge of databases such as SQL or Postgres to join their fast-paced team on an initial twelve month contract (with good potential of extension).
You’ll support the development of deployment pipelines, infrastructure automation, and integration across hybrid cloud environments (on-prem & public/private cloud).
What you’ll do:
- Build and maintain CI/CD & release pipelines
- Automate provisioning and infrastructure using IaC (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
- Manage DevOps tool such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Artifactory, Bitbucket
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications combined with relevant industry certifications
- Proven DevOps / Infrastructure Automation experience within large, complex organisations
- Deep hands-on knowledge of SQL or Postgres databases
- Advanced knowledge and experience automating infrastructure using Ansible or writing IaC in Terraform
- Proven scripting skills in PowerShell or Python
- Advanced troubleshooting, problem-solving, and consultative skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams

This is a Sydney-based role which will require you to be in their CBD or Parramatta office at least two days per week.
