Role Overview:
This organisation is seeking a hands-on Cyber Security Engineer with a strong infrastructure and engineering background to help strengthen and mature their security capability across a complex hybrid environment. The role will focus on implementing and improving security controls across identity, infrastructure, and network layers, while supporting several ongoing security uplift initiatives.

About the Organisation & Position:
You will join a collaborative cyber security team responsible for strengthening the organisation’s security posture. The role will support several key initiatives including identity and access management improvements and Essential Eight uplift.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and support identity and access management platforms including OKTA and Active Directory
Contribute to security uplift initiatives, including Essential Eight maturity improvements
Engineer and implement security controls across hybrid infrastructure (Azure and on-prem)
Work closely with the cyber security team on technical security implementations

Required Skills & Experience:

Strong engineering background with experience in cyber security or infrastructure security
Experience with OKTA, Active Directory, or Microsoft Entra ID
Exposure to Azure or cloud environments
Experience with next-generation firewalls (Palo Alto, Juniper, Check Point or similar)
Comfortable working in a hands-on engineering role implementing security solutions
