
Implementation Lead // Product Owner
Our client is looking for an Implementation Lead / Product Owner with Model Risk & System Implementation experience. This is a Business-focused role.
They are seeking an experienced Implementation Lead / Product Owner to drive the delivery of model risk and system implementation initiatives. This role will bridge the gap between business stakeholders, project teams, and risk management, ensuring robust governance, compliance, and successful deployment of risk models and associated systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in model risk management (Financial risk or Treasury/Credit risk), financial services, and system implementation, with the ability to define requirements, prioritize delivery, and oversee execution across the full project lifecycle.
Responsibilities

Act as an Implementation / Product Owner for model risk and system implementation initiatives, defining and maintaining the product road-map and backlog.

Collaborate with stakeholders (risk, compliance, finance, IT, data science, and operations) to gather, document, and prioritize requirements.

Lead the end-to-end system implementation process, including design, testing, integration, and deployment.

Ensure systems comply with model risk management frameworks, regulatory requirements, and internal governance policies.

Partner with technology teams to validate model deployment, integration, and monitoring capabilities.

Manage stakeholder communications, including progress updates, risk/issues reporting, and change management activities.

Drive continuous improvements in system processes, governance, and controls related to model lifecycle management.

Ensure data quality, lineage, and transparency across risk and model platforms.
Requirements

Proven experience as an Implementation Lead or Product Owner in financial services sector.
- Strong experience in Financial Risk or Treasury Risk/Credit Risk – A MUST

Strong understanding of Model Risk Management (MRM), governance, validation, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., SR 11-7, Basel, IFRS 9, CCAR).

Experience in system implementation projects (risk management platforms, financial systems, or model lifecycle management tools).

Excellent skills in requirement gathering, backlog prioritization, and stakeholder management.

Hands-on experience with Agile delivery methodologies and product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to translate complex risk and technical concepts into clear, actionable requirements.
