About the Role
As an ICT Support Officer, you’ll provide first-level ICT support to departmental staff, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests. You’ll play a key role in maintaining smooth day-to-day ICT operations, delivering excellent customer service, and escalating complex issues in line with service level agreements and departmental policies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide responsive first-level ICT support via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across hardware, software, Microsoft 365, and desktop/mobile environments.
* Escalate complex incidents to senior ICT staff or support partners as required.
* Maintain accurate service records and contribute to a shared knowledge base.
* Assist in ICT hardware installation, maintenance, and support across:

Operating Systems and Microsoft 365

Desktop and Mobile Hardware

Conferencing room hardware/software

Network fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN)

Endpoint remediation and application whitelisting

3rd party print platforms

Scripting and automation tools

Deliver services in line with departmental ICT policies, security standards, and SLAs.

Promote positive customer experiences through clear, professional communication.
To be successful, you’ll bring:
* Technical expertise across one or more ICT domains (infrastructure, networking, systems administration, end-user computing).
* Relevant tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Industry certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, VMware) are highly desirable.
* Experience supporting ICT environments in complex or enterprise settings.
* Working knowledge of enterprise networking, Microsoft 365 administration, and application whitelisting tools is desirable.
