**ICT Procurement Officer | Canberra, ACT | Initial contract to 30/06/2026 (with a potential 12-month extension)**

Our client is seeking a skilled ICT Procurement Officer to enhance various ICT projects and streamline procurement activities. In this vital role, you’ll collaborate with procurement managers and engage with technical and executive stakeholders, ensuring the smooth execution of IT procurement strategies and administration tasks.

About the Role:
As an ICT Procurement Officer, your primary responsibility will be to manage and oversee ICT procurement activities, ensuring that they align with departmental goals. You will focus on building relationships with internal clients and external suppliers, solving contract-related issues, and delivering exceptional customer service. Your contributions will directly impact the success of technology projects across the government.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage a range of ICT procurement activities, providing advice and support
  • Prepare procurement approval documents for labour hire and ICT programs
  • Administer tender documentation through the Digital Transformation Agency’s BuyICT panels
  • Deliver high-level customer service to stakeholders, gathering feedback and facilitating communication
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and suppliers
  • Oversee contract inquiries, issues, disputes, and negotiations
  • Solve ICT contract-related issues effectively
  • Manage the ICT mailbox and related administrative tasks

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum four years’ experience in ICT government procurement
  • Strong understanding of the PGPA Act, CPRs, and BuyICT procurement processes
  • Ability to analyse IT suppliers, markets, products, and service categories
  • Experience in administering ICT tender evaluation reports
  • Proven time management and interpersonal communication skills
  • Familiarity with both simple and complex ICT tenders and government procurement processes

Qualifications:

  • NV1 Security Clearance (The client is not able to upgrade the clearance level)
  • Relevant qualifications in procurement or ICT-related fields are preferred

Eligibility/Requirements:

  • Australian citizenship is required
  • Must pass relevant background checks
