Hydrogeologist - Projects
The Hydrogeologist will support a wide range of mining and infrastructure projects, conducting groundwater assessments and investigations, managing data, and contributing to technical assurance. Working within a diverse engineering team, this role supports sustainable water management and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct hydrogeological assessments and conceptual borefield designs
 - Collect, analyse, and manage groundwater data including test pumping and water quality
 - Plan and oversee site investigations and data collection activities
 - Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and project documentation
 - Provide technical support to engineers, consultants, and contractors
 - Assist with water permit and approval processes
 - Support risk assessments related to water management and environmental impacts
 
Required Qualifications
- BSc in Geology or Environmental Science
 - MSc or Postgraduate Diploma in Hydrogeology (highly regarded)
 - Minimum 3 years’ experience in hydrogeology or water resource management
 
Skills & Competencies
- Experience in hydrogeological investigations, groundwater modelling, or risk assessments
 - Proficiency in GIS and data management tools
 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 - Knowledge of WA water licensing and permitting processes (desirable)
 - Analytical, problem-solving, and “growth mindset” approach
