We’re currently seeking an experienced Fluid Power Engineer (Hydraulics Engineer) to join a major industrial project, supporting delivery across multiple workstreams within a complex engineering environment.

This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for contributing to the design, coordination, and delivery of fluid power systems across key project packages.

The Role

You will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of fluid power engineering components, including:

  • Supporting the design, integration, and delivery of hydraulic systems
  • Working across pumps, motors, and industrial equipment
  • Contributing to design reviews, engineering documentation, and technical problem solving
  • Supporting procurement, scheduling, and cost tracking activities
  • Assisting with installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction, and operations
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, engineering standards, and project requirements

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 5-10 years’ experience in fluid power / hydraulics engineering
  • A relevant engineering degree or diploma (mechanical, mechatronics or similar)
  • Strong experience working with:
    • Hydraulic systems
    • Pumps and motors
    • Industrial or heavy engineering equipment
  • Experience working on large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects
  • Ability to work across multiple project areas and disciplines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have

  • Experience in heavy industrial environments (e.g. steel, mining, manufacturing)
  • Exposure to design tools (AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.)
  • Experience with commissioning or construction phases
