Talent International, a leading Australian recruitment firm, has been engaged by our long-standing client, a leading Australian manufacturer and resource recovery organisation. We are seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager to drive safety performance, strengthen compliance systems and support operational improvement across its NSW recycling operations.

Role Title: HSEQ Manager

Opportunity: Permanent Career Opportunity

Location: Western Sydney, five days per week on site

Salary: $155,000 including super

Role Details:

  • Lead the implementation and ongoing improvement of HSEQ frameworks across the NSW recycling operations.
  • Partner with operational leaders and site teams to improve safety performance, strengthen risk controls and foster a proactive safety culture.
  • Manage HSE and Quality Management Systems, including ISO certification, internal audits, incident investigations, compliance reporting and non-conformance management.
  • Provide data-driven reporting and analysis across safety KPIs, audit outcomes, operational risks and quality performance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, compliance, quality and plant performance.
  • Influence stakeholders across senior leadership, site management and shop-floor operations to ensure actions are implemented and closed out effectively.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • At least five years of HSEQ experience within manufacturing, recycling, heavy industry or another operational environment.
  • Strong operational safety experience, with the ability to engage site-based teams and drive measurable safety outcomes.
  • Practical knowledge of Quality Management Systems, ISO certification, compliance frameworks and internal auditing.
  • Proven ability to influence operational decision-makers and build relationships across both corporate and frontline environments.
  • Relevant degree, qualification or equivalent professional experience in health and safety, quality, compliance or a related discipline.
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, with internal auditing and training qualifications highly regarded.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, problem-solving and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • A stable employment history and genuine interest in building a long-term career with the organisation.
