
HR Manager
Join a highly respected mid-tier architecture studio with a strong presence across Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. With a current team of 150 and plans to nearly double in size over the next two years, the business is entering an exciting phase of growth and brand elevation.
We’re seeking a pragmatic and operationally strong HR Manager who understands the unique dynamics of creative industries like architecture, design, or related fields. You’ll lead and deliver core HR functions to support rapid growth, working closely with leadership and external consultants on strategic recruitment and HRIS implementation.
What You’ll Do:

Manage end-to-end HR operations, including contracts, onboarding/offboarding, compliance, and process improvements tailored to a creative environment

Lead recruitment efforts to attract top talent who fit the culture and skill needs of an evolving architectural practice

Oversee payroll in partnership with the CFO, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

Support and implement learning, development, and performance initiatives that enhance capability and output in a design-focused business

Plan and manage the potential offshoring of transactional HR tasks, ensuring smooth integration and control
What You Bring:

10+ years’ HR experience

Strong operational HR expertise including recruitment, compliance, payroll, and HR systems

Commercial and pragmatic – able to deliver structure and solutions in a fast-moving, creative environment

Understanding of the culture, pace, and challenges in architecture or similar industries

Experience in learning and development, workforce planning, or performance management is highly valued
