About the role

Working as part of a collaborative HR Business Partnering team, you will provide high-quality human resource and industrial relations advice across a broad range of workforce matters. You will partner closely with leaders and stakeholders across the department to support people-related initiatives and organisational priorities.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and timely HR and employee relations advice, including case management in line with legislation and policies
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and coach leaders in contemporary HR practices
  • Support delivery of HR projects focused on continuous improvement and capability uplift
  • Prepare and review briefings, correspondence, presentations and HR documentation
  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing, process documentation and case discussions
  • Collaborate across the People, Capability and Culture branch to deliver coordinated solutions
  • Utilise workforce data to provide insights and support decision-making
  • Assist with coordination of projects, working groups, meetings and documentation
  • Undertake additional HR activities as required

  • Knowledge of HR legislation, frameworks and best practice
  • Ability to build relationships across a diverse stakeholder group
  • Experience within the public sector or large organisations highly regarded
