The HR Business Partner provides generalist advisory support to managers and employees across all People and Culture matters. The role partners with leaders to deliver effective employee relations outcomes while supporting organisational change and to build robust role classifications.

  • 6 months initial contract with a start in February required
  • Once a month travel to Airport office location required
  • Korn Ferry experience essential

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide generalist People and Culture advice across the full employee lifecycle
  • Coach and support managers on employee related matters and business cases
  • Manage non-complex grievances and disciplinary investigations fairly and consistently
  • Build strong relationships with line managers to attract, engage and retain employees
  • Review and draft employment contracts, deeds and formal correspondence
  • Advise on employee relations matters including awards, legislation and policies
  • Identify risks and provide guidance on legal and industrial implications
  • Contribute to policy and procedure development and compliance activities
  • Support remuneration frameworks, salary reviews and classification advice
  • Undertake project work and analytical initiatives as required

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of employment legislation, Fair Work Act and NES
  • Stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • Analytical and problem solving capability
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage priorities
  • Project Management
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret legislation, regulations, awards, industrial agreements together with policy and procedure.
  • Tertiary qualification in HR or a related field

Working Conditions

  • Travel to Airport Office location once a month
  • Flexibility with working hours when needed
