Head of Technology - Wealth / Investment Management
A boutique Wealth / Investment Management provider is seeking a Head of Technology to join their team on a permanent basis.
This organisation has seen strong growth over the past few years, acquiring a number of businesses and expanding their footprint to have offices in all major cities in Australia and $40B funds under management.
In this hands-on leadership role you will manage and lead a stable, close-knit and high-performing infrastructure team. The team manages their entire infrastructure environment including EUC, Windows, Storage / Backup, Networking and Cyber Security. Your key responsibilities will include the operational management of the teams (people, financial and vendor management), contributing to and setting the strategic direction of the team’s capabilities and services. You will look for opportunities to improve the reliability and efficiency of their environment, and engage with senior executives from across the organisation to look for opportunities to better position the team to add value across their technology environment.
You will be required to be hands-on when needed and lead the team by example.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry certifications
- Proven experience working within Investment / Wealth Management and highly regulated financial service environments
- Demonstrated experience managing high-performing teams with a strong hands-on background in IT Infrastructure
- Superior stakeholder engagement skills with a proven ability to negotiate and influence
- Exceptional problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Please note – this role is based in Sydney’s CBD and you will be required to be onsite five days per week (this applies to every position in the company – no exceptions).
