Head of Technology

You will lead a capable, multi-disciplinary IT team and oversee a complex environment spanning core enterprise systems (including ERP and supply chain platforms such as Infor M3, alongside enterprise analytics platforms like Oracle BI), hybrid infrastructure (on-premise and cloud), and customer-facing digital platforms and integrations.
Key Accountabilities
- Define and deliver a 3-5 year technology roadmap aligned to organisational strategy
- Identify and drive opportunities for platform modernisation, automation, and cloud optimisation
- Evaluate emerging technologies (including AI) and implement practical, value-driven solutions
- Lead architecture governance to ensure scalability, resilience, and interoperability
- Oversee end-to-end IT operations across infrastructure, applications, integrations, and end-user services
- Balance strategic initiatives with operational delivery
- Provide executive-level reporting across performance, risks, budgets, and benefits realisation
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of approximately 25 staff
- Act as the primary technology advisor to the executive team
- Manage key vendor and strategic technology partner relationships
- Own IT operating and capital budgets in partnership with Finance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, and cybersecurity obligations
Skills and experience
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience in senior technology leadership roles, managing teams of 20+
- Strong commercial acumen and financial literacy
- Proven experience leading digital transformation and/or platform modernisation programs
- Ability to influence and operate effectively at executive level
- Track record of delivering enterprise-scale initiatives
- Experience across both legacy and modern technology environments
- Broad technical expertise across infrastructure, cloud, enterprise applications, integration, and cybersecurity
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences
- Knowledge of IT service management frameworks and governance practices
- Ability to manage competing priorities across BAU and strategic initiatives
